Emily attended The University of Tennessee, Memphis, Health Science Center where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, graduating in 2000 with high honors. She has practiced OT in a variety of settings, including school based OT, Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation and Home Health Care.
She is a dedicated and compassionate clinician with specialized experience in upper extremity rehabilitation and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Society of Hand Therapists. In the spring of 2014, she decided to further her love for caring for those with hand and upper extremity injuries and work exclusively in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Emily went on to earn her certification in hand therapy by the fall of 2014. She continues to be an active participant in her professional development.
In addition to making a difference in the lives of her patients, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two active boys, 14 and 12. While a Loudoun County resident since 2008, she and her family have lived in Purcellville since 2022, where she recognized a real need for a Certified Hand Therapist in her community and the areas surrounding.
